Since Instagram announced its new IGTV platform last week, everyone’s been wanting to know what to post on IGTV. Send me all the IGTV video ideas! NOW! Please! Well don’t worry, I got you, babe.
I mean honestly, what the heck is this new platform supposed to be? How is it any different than Instagram Stories? Is IGTV trying to compete with YouTube? Because I’ve put a lot of effort into my YouTube channel and that would not be good.
I’ve had all these thoughts in my head over the past few days and I’ve been really trying to figure out what kind of content to post on IGTV. Obviously, it’s still a very new channel and I think we’ll see it evolve if it actually sticks around, but here are a few ideas of things you can post to help you get started.
At the end of the day, I think the key is to just get comfortable using video no matter how awful or awkward you might think you are on camera. I challenged myself a year ago to do just that, and now I’m OBSESSED with creating video content. I love Instagram Stories. I love making YouTube videos. And I’ve even gotten a lot more comfortable doing live video – something that used to absolutely terrify me.
So now that I’ve given you a bunch of IGTV video ideas, you’ve got no more excuses! No more complaining about the fact that you have no idea what to post. Just pick something, and go for it.
